PURPOSE: To contrive stagnation prevention of an object to be heated and high efficiency of a fusion furnace by equipping a means for forcibly transporting the object to be heated by rotation of a spiral fin. CONSTITUTION: An object-to-be-heated supply device 3 and a waste liquid supply means are connected to a throwing-in opening 12a and a supply opening 12b of an object to be heated G respectively. Current is allowed to flow to a molten material X of a conductor existing between a pair of electrodes 13 or bottom electrodes 14 in a glass fusion furnace 1, a high temperature state is maintained by resistance heat generation, and the molten material is drained from an outlet 15 and a flow-down nozzle 16. The object to be heated G supplied to the inside of an object-to-be-heated sending-out means 31 is slid down in an inclined sending-out pipe 31a. At this time a rotation shaft 31b and a fin 31h are rotated by a rotation drive source 31c and the object to be heated G is forcibly transported by the fin 31h. The object to be heated G is supplied to a drain outlet 31e of the sending-out pipe 31a→the charging opening 12a→a fusion tank 11. Thereby the stagnation of the object to be heated G is prevented by the rotation of the fin 31h and the efficiency of the furnace 1 can be enhanced.
