PURPOSE: To form a stable image even in an environment at high temp. and humidity by transferring a toner image formed on an org. photoreceptor with a surface layer contg. fine particles to an image substrate contg. a filler made of calcium carbonate. CONSTITUTION: An org. photoreceptor with a surface layer contg. fine particles is used as an electrophotographic photoreceptor 10 and transfer paper contg. a filler made of calcium carbonate is used as an image substrate. Positive charges are imparted to the calcium carbonate by friction at the time of conveying the paper and by triboelectric charge with the photoreceptor. As a result, the calcium carbonate peels from the paper, sticks to the photoreceptor and polishes it. Since calcium carbonate of a large particle diameter mars up a photoreceptor, the particle diameter of the calcium carbonate is preferably regulated to 0.1-3.0μm number average primary particle diameter. The calcium carbonate content of the paper is preferably 2.0-10.0wt.%.
