<p>PURPOSE: To provide a composite optical device such as a laser coupler which has an excellent optical signal detection characteristic. CONSTITUTION: Optical signal detecting photodiodes, PD1 and PD2, of a photodiode IC1 in a laser coupler are each formed into a six-partite type. After manufacturing a laser coupler, its optical signal detecting characteristic is measured and, in accordance with its results, two output terminals of photodiodes selected from photodiodes, A1 to A6, of the photodiode PD1 are electrically connected, and the output terminals of photodiodes selected from photodiodes, B1 to B6, of the photodiode PD2 are also connected. And the split center line AX1 of the photodiodes, PD1 and PD2, is parallelly shifted.</p> |
