PURPOSE: To easily obtain information relating to contents printed in a printed matter by writing an index code specifying the print contents on the printed matter together and acquiring the relative electronic information from a server device by using the index code. CONSTITUTION: Index codes specifying individual print contents such as article reports of printed matter, e.g. newspaper are written together. The storage device 11 of the server device 10, on the other hand, stores a conversion table into which index codes used to retrieve stored electronic information are entered by the index codes. When the index code written in the print contents whose electronic information is to be obtained is inputted from the input device 21 or reader 22 of a terminal device 20, the server device 10 having received it sends the title of the corresponding electronic information by using the conversion table and titles are listed on the terminal device 20. When desired electronic information to be listened to is selected, the server device 10 having received the selection instruction takes out the corresponding electronic information from storage device 11 and sends it back to the terminal equipment.
