PURPOSE: To perform an inference according to the actual condition in a simple way and with high accuracy by applying a fuzzy inference to an event related to the event of a consequent part membership function in response to the distribution of the possibility of the event for which the consequent part membership is prepared. CONSTITUTION: In regard of the displacement action of a consequent part membership function, a data memory 2 stores the standard deviation value corresponding to the possibility distribution data of the using amount value, i.e., the possibility distribution knowledge. This possibility distribution data is produced based on the data that is empirically recognized. At the same time, the adjustment value (K) is inputted from an input part 3 and every consequent part membership is displaced based on the value (K.δ) that is decided by multiplying the standard deviation value by the adjustment value. The adjustment value is inputted so that a person in charge adjusts the displacement value set based on the standard deviation value in terms of management.
