Endstops formed from non-twist threaded discs (10) are held in a cover-limited (6) travel recess (5) arranged centrally in the roller lock (3). The discs are fitted onto an externally rotated spindle whose right and lefthand threads are of equal pitch. The cover is secured to the lock by a screw (15) passing through the travel recess. The spindle is connected to a remote adjuster (13) outside the machine by an Oldham coupling (11) locked against displacement. Once the bearing arm (4) has been run in or out as required, the remote adjuster such as a sprocket etc. is actuated to set the spindle (7) in movement, using left or righthand threaded disc endstops which in turn limit roller travel in the respective directions.
