A partition wall system for ships comprising a wall panel (3) and a storing means (6), where the wall panel (3) comprises several module elements (4) mutually interconnected or otherwise provided end to end in a watertight and flexible manner allowing for gradual extension and retraction of the requested number of elements (4) from the storing means (6).
