PURPOSE: To obtain an antireflection base material having improved weather resistance without deteriorating antireflection performance and effectively used for an exterior article by interposing a surface treating layer formed with a specified surface treating agent between a substrate and a low refractive index thin film. CONSTITUTION: In this antireflection base material with a low refractive index thin film of a polymer having a fluorine-contg. alicyclic structure, a surface treating layer formed with a surface treating agent contg. a silane compd. having an amino or glycidyl group and dithiocarbamates is interposed between the antireflection base material and the low refractive index thin film. The thickness of the surface treating layer is preferably >=5nm and satisfactory weather resistance is not ensured in the case of 5nm. Preheating may be carried out after coating with the surface treating agent and before coating with a low refractive index layer. After coating with the low refractive index layer, proper heat treatment is preferably carried out so as to improve adhesion and weather resistance. |
