A foot form for injection molding string lasted footwear in which the heel portion of the form is movable between foreshortened, intermediate, and extended conditions, with means for locking the form in such conditions. The shoemaking method includes the steps of mounting a loose shoe upper having a lasting string in the margin on the form in foreshortened condition, tensioning the string to partially last the upper on the foreshortened last, moving the heel portion of the form to extended condition to fully tension the string and last the upper, and injection molding a shoe bottom on the lasted upper.
