The haemodialyser proposed includes a vessel (1) designed to hold the dialysis liquid, a dialysis unit (2) and a double-hose pump (3). The vessel (1) is divided into two chambers (15, 16) of variable volume by a flexible partition (13). The fresh dialysis liquid is sucked out of one chamber (15) of the vessel into the dialysis unit, and the used dialysis liquid is passed back into the other chamber (16). The used dialysis liquid and the fresh dialysis liquid do not mix in the vessel (1). The flexible partition is formed by a plastic bag (13), suspended in the vessel, which lies tightly against the wall of the vessel (1) when the vessel fills with dialysis liquid. The cross-sectional areas of the two hoses of the double-hose pump are such that the ratio of the amount of blood flowing through the dialysis unit to the amount of the dialysis liquid is about 2:3. This ensures optimum removal of dissolved substances by a limited amount of dialysis liquid. The haemodialysis equipment proposed represents a system which can be produced using simple techniques and ensures optimun utilization of the dialysis liquid.
