Contact-less object pyrometer-type temperature sensor

The temp sensor has a detector (1) to generate a detector signal i which depends on the temperature radiation of a test object. It also has a measurement probe (2) to generate a measurement probe corresponding to the temp. of the detector (1). A signal processor (3,4,5,7) compensates for the effect of the temp. of the detector to generate a measurement signal corresponding to the temp. of the test object. The signal processor has a multiple current source (3) supplied by the probe signal to generate at least three detector temp. dependent electric partial signals. The signal processor also includes a multiplier (4) which processes the detector signal with the first partial signal and compensates the detector temp. dependent sensitivity generating a sensitivity compensated detector signal. A further multiplier (5) multiplies the first and second partial signals to generate a detector temp. dependent non-linear offset signal. A summing stage (7) adds the sensitivity compensated signal and the offset signal to generate an offset and sensitivity compensated measurement signal.
