PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the maintenance of a printing machine on-line between a press and a printing machine maker. SOLUTION: In a web rotary printing press 2 connected to a remote diagnosis-remote maintenance station 17 through a data communication means 14, an optical or acoustical communication system 9 equipped with a computer is arranged in the control device 8 of the printing press 2 or in the vicinity of the control device 8 to be connected to the respective partial mechanisms 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 of the printing press 2 through an optical or acoustical transmission medium. The optical or acoustical data collected from the printing press 2 is processed by the computer so as to be transmitted through the data communication means 14 and the processed optical and/or acoustical data is displayed on the monitor 23 of the remote diagnosis-remote maintenance station 17. |
