<p>PURPOSE: To plot an image by a handwritten input without using an absolute coordinate detector by discriminating whether handwritten image inputting operation is continued or a plotting position is being moved and generating display coordinates for displaying the handwritten image on a display screen when the operation is continued or generating coordinates for displaying a replotting starting position at the time of moving the plotting position. CONSTITUTION: When the center tip part of a pen type pointing device 2 is separated from paper 50 by reference point coordinates 51 and the dotted line part is moved with its tip part made floating, after writing a vertical line, a CPU processes the displacement of the center tip part during the period of movement as a displacement vector for generating the display coordinate data of a replotting starting position. When the center tip part is allowed to touch the paper 50 and a horizontal line is plotted, a horizontal line based upon a specified scale is plotted from left to right from the replotting starting position obtained by adding the displacement vector to the coordinates 51 on a display panel 12 in accordance with handwriting operation for plotting the line from left to right while allowing the center tip part to touch the paper 50.</p> |
