<p>1375565 Fuel injection apparatus C A V Ltd 22 March 1972 [17 April 1971] 9743/71 Heading F 1A In a liquid fuel injection pumping apparatus comprising a fuel distributor 12 rotatable in a housing 10 by a drive shaft 11 connectable to an engine, an aperture 16 being formed in the housing to enable timing marks 17 on the drive shaft 11 to be observed, the aperture 16 also serves to receive a sleeve 18 which rotatably supports a tachometer drive shaft 19 geared to the drive shaft 11. The tachometer shaft 19 has a pinion 20 which meshes with teeth formed on the drive shaft 11 or, as shown, on a ring 21 splined to the shaft 11 and retained by a circlip 22. A further gear 13 on the drive shaft 11 meshes with a pinion 14 connected to the cage of a governor 15.</p> |
