PURPOSE: To provide a practical facsimile type automatic fair copy device in which a general facsimile equipment is used as input and output terminals. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with facsimile reception means 11,12 decoding image data received from a facsimile communication network 15 and storing the decoded data to a memory 10 and a source document read means 1 analyzing the image data of a source document being an object of a fair copy received and decoded and stored in the memory 10 to recognize characters and converting the character code string into a code form intermediate document, font generating means 8, 9 used to convert the code form intermediate document into a character string of a proper font, an object document edit means 13 expanding the image data of the object document comprising the character string in a proper font in the memory 10 in a bit map form, and facsimile transmission means 11, 12 coding the image data of the object document and sending the coded data to the facsimile communication network 15. |
