Descaling composition comprises a mixture of methanesulfonic acid and sulfuric acid, the mixture containing up to 25 wt.% sulfuric acid. An Independent claim is also included for a descaling gel containing 1 - 20 % of an acid mixture as above, 2 - 10 % ethoxylated amine(s) and 1 - 5 % ethoxylated alcohol(s).
