PURPOSE: To provide a coated optical fiber ribbon contrasting device capable of dealing with several kinds of coated optical fiber ribbons. CONSTITUTION: This coated optical fiber ribbon contrasting device has a coated optical fiber ribbon contrasting device body 1 provided with a bend imparting member 3 for imparting prescribed bending to the coated optical fiber ribbons 2, a coated fiber fixing member 4 for fixing the coated optical fiber ribbons 2, a photodetecting element 7 for detecting the light leaking from the optical fibers 2a of the coated optical fiber ribbons 2 and a movable slit 6. This coated fiber fixing member 4 is freely attachably and detachably built into this coated optical fiber ribbon contrasting body 1. The coated fiber contrasting of the coated optical fiber ribbons 2 by as much as the number of the coated fiber fixing member 4 is made possible by preparing the coated fiber fixing members 4 by as much as the number of the kinds of the coated optical fiber ribbons 2, replacing the coated fiber fixing member 4 meeting the coated optical fiber tapes 2 to be subjected to the coated fiber contrasting and building this coated fiber fixing member into this device. |
