Insulating housing for mechanical or electrical temp. dependent switch

The housing has an inner chamber (42) to receiving a mechanical and/or electrical switch (12) with a temp. dependent switch mechanism. The switch (12) has two electrically conductive connector surfaces (13,14) which electrically connect the switch (12) to contact parts (24,25) of a holder (23) or an electric load to be protected. The insulating housing (10) has at least one opening (18). The contact parts (24,25) pass through this to lie directly on the two contact surfaces (13,14) and clamp the switch (12) between them. The housing preferably has an inner profile through which the inserted contact parts (24,25) and are pressed against the contact surfaces (13,14).
