Assembly for recovering effluent water used in processing cereals, esp. barley comprises: (a) a water inlet (6) with a sieve (7) removing coarse solids; (b) a separation assembly comprises a centrifuge (13) positioned after the sieve (7) to remove finer solids; (c) a reverse osmosis desalination assembly following the separation centrifuge (13) and (d) a short-period water heater (10) after the sieve (7).
