<p>The invention concerns a portable electronic apparatus (1) comprising at least a data display screen (2) and a device (3) for selecting data displayed on said screen (2) by means of a pointer (2A) displayed therefor on said screen, said apparatus (1) being contained in a housing (4) comprising several surfaces (5 to 10) one surface (5) of which at least is of the type comprising, a calculating circuit (3A) controlling the position of the pointer (2A) on the basis of control signals addressed thereto; a control member (3B), whereon a user of the apparatus (1) can exert at least one digital action to control at least one of the functions which consist in displaying the pointer (2A) and moving said pointer (2A), in particular, so as to make its position coincide with an information to be selected on the screen (2), and which produces control signals and delivers them to the calculating circuit (3A). Said apparatus is characterised in that the control member (3B) of the data selecting device (3) is positioned in the housing (4) so that it can be actuated from at least one surface (6 to 10) other than the surface (5) wherein the data display screen (2) is located.</p> |
