The invention relates to piperidine derivatives of formula (I), wherein R<1> is a C2-4alkoxy group, R<2> is (a); R<3> is a hydrogen or halogen atom; R<4> and R<5> may each independently represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a C1-4alkyl, C1-4alkoxy or trifluoromethyl group; and pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives thereof, to processes for their preparation, and their use in the treatment of conditions mediated by tachykinins.
