Pump and turbine wheels (1,2) together form a toroidal working space and are both enclosed by a housing to be plugged onto the motor. The housing has an air inlet (21) at one of the two wheels to lead from outside into the housing space (4) as fitted with air bleed ports (30.1,30.2,30.3, etc.). close to its two wheels, and the wheel exterior facing the air channel is fitted with fan blades (2,2.2). Air channel openings (20) are spread round the coupling housing, and the bleed ports (30.1 etc.) lie in the outer part of the housing or cover (4,4.1). Air channel or ports come in slot form for preference, with their longitudinal axis arranged in the rotation sense of the coupling. The section of the air channels exceeds that of the ports between the pump wheel shell and the disc facing this.
