<p>PURPOSE: To improve a bottom part in resistance to heat and pressure or in resistance to heat and to impart a superior self-standing stability to a container by a method wherein a bottom of a plastic container is shaped into a dome form, and a leg part is formed by folding a part of the bottom double. CONSTITUTION: In a plastic container 1 consisting of a mouth part 3, a shoulder part 4, a body part 5, a bottom part 6, and a leg part 7 provided in this order from top, the bottom part 6 is bulged downward in a dome form, and a part of the bottom part 6 is folded back double to form an outer leg wall 11 and an inner leg wall 12. A leg part 7 is formed integrally with the bottom part 6 by welding the upper parts of the leg walls. The leg part 7 has a skirt form widening toward the end or a straight cylindrical form. Since a lower end part 13 of the leg part 7 is disposed to be lower than that of a lower end 8, the plastic container can be self-standing. It is desirable for the transport properties and self-standing stability of the plastic container 1 that the diameter of the lower end part 13 of the leg part 7 is 100-80% of the outer diameter of the body part 5.</p> |
