PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the erroneous registration of an ID code and simplify registering procedures. CONSTITUTION: This keyless entry device is provided with a transmitter capable of instructing the locking/unlocking of a door via remote control, a theft prevention control device 2 connected with a car antenna 21, and a keyless entry C/U 32 connected with a car antenna 31. The ID code registered in the theft prevention control device 2 is made equal to the ID code registered in the keyless entry C/U 32, and the car antenna 21 is connected to the keyless entry C/U 32. When the keyless entry C/U 32 is set to the registration mode, the ID code in a key is inputted to the keyless entry C/U 32 via the car antenna 21 and registered in an EEPROM 302. The transmitter is not required to be operated when the ID code is registered in the keyless entry C/U 32, and the erroneous registration of the ID code is prevented. |
