A swivellable control flap (11), which interacts with a pneumatic actuator (15) is provided in the intake air filter (4), the actuator (15) producing an adjustment of the control flap (11) by means of a bimetal strip control device (25) as a function of the temperature of the air fed to the internal combustion engine. A thermostat (40) is also provided, which by means of a movable stop (12) fixes the swivelling range of the control flap (11) in the direction closing off the warm air duct (10). The thermostat (40) is arranged in a mounting device (41). This mounting device is fixed in a cold air duct (9) by means of a welded connection.
