摘要 PURPOSE: To enhance the controlling performance of the air-fuel ratio and heighten the rate of purification of a catalyst by calculating a corrective fuel injection amount for the fuel transport delay on the basis of the transport delay of fuel injected for the corrected fuel injection amount, and deciding the fuel injection amount to be supplied to the internal combustion engine on the basis of the calculation. CONSTITUTION: An air-fuel ratio sensor 54 for the exhaust gas is installed on the exhaust pipe 26 of an internal combustion engine 10, and from the detected air-fuel ratio given by the sensor 54, the ratio correcting factor is determined in accordance with the difference from value obtained by an oxygen sensor 56 so that the air-fuel ratio of the engine 10 converges to the target value. With this correction factor obtained, the fuel injection mount to be supplied to the engine 10 is corrected, and for this correction, a corrective fuel injection amount is calculated on the basis of the transport delay of the injected fuel, and the fuel injection amount to be supplied to the engine 10 is decided by a control unit 34 on the basis of the calculation.
