A disposable article (2) which is provided with locating means (6) for enabling the article (2) to be located in the event that the article (2) becomes lost in an object or a person, the locating means (6) being a layer of a machine-detectable material which is stuck to fabric from which the article (2) is made by adhesive provided on one of the faces of the layer (6), and the layer (6) being sufficiently thin that it is flexible with the fabric and thus does not interfere with the article (2) when the article (2) is being used. The layer is preferably in the form of a strip. The strip is preferably an aluminium strip. The adhesive is preferably a pressure sensitive adhesive. The article may be a disposable garment, a disposable surgical wipe, or an anti-static article. |
