FIELD: plastic working of shaped material. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary cutting of material over the whole section contour and separating cut portion. Cutting and working of material are effectuated by sleeve tools with cavities for receiving material to be cut or worked. When hollow material is to be cut or worked, chuck with two sleeve tools having deforming members is additionally used. During cutting and working process, one tool is in fixed position while other tool moves relative to fixed tool along planar path made by figure composed of two contacting oval-shaped figures. Apparatus has housing, tool (cutter) fixed in housing, movable tool (cutter) secured within connecting rod body. Actuating device has connecting rod, eccentric sleeves axially positioned within connecting rod head and periodically rotating so that eccentricity may be changed. EFFECT: improved cutting quality by reduced plastic deformation and distortion of geometric shape of material, wider operational capabilities by providing cutting of compound profile materials such as pipes, channel bars, H-beams etc. 5 cl, 12 dwg |
