The side door arrangement has the door pivoting at its front region about a vertical axis. Hinges are additionally provided which allow the door (3) to pivot about a vertical axis (18) at its rear end section when viewed in the direction of vehicle travel. The door consists of a frame (5) with a pivoting door frame (4), the frame having front and rear vertical posts (6,7). A first hinge (9) at the front post allows the door to open relative to the frame, and a closure device (11,12) is located at the rear post. A second hinge is located at the rear post, with closure means at the front post.
