<p>PURPOSE: To make a stapling action at the desired stapling position by providing a means filing the transfer paper on a sorter and a means specifying the stapling position. CONSTITUTION: A latent image is formed on a photoreceptor, it is developed by a developing unit 9, then a toner image is transferred to the transfer paper by a transfer charger 11. The toner image is fixed on the transfer paper by a fixing device 13, and the transfer paper is sent to the insertion port 21 of a sorter stapler 15 via a conveying device 14. The transfer paper is sent to the first sorter stapler by a switching pawl 23, and the paper sent to a distribution section 25 is stored in a bin 27 by a change pawl 29. A staple section 39 is normally stopped at the home position, it is lowered to each bin position when the paper discharge to the bin 27 is completed, and a stapling action filing the paper in the bin 27 is conducted. When the stapling action of the final bin 27 is completed, the staple section 39 is lifted and again stopped at the home position.</p> |
