<p>PURPOSE: To provide a swash plate type compressor which greatly reduces vibration and noise while preventing a piston from rotating in the direction of revolution on its own axis and is excellent in durability and delivery performance. CONSTITUTION: This swash plate type compressor has a piston 7 provided in a cylinder bore 9 in such a way as to freely reciprocate, and also has a swash plate 3 placed inside a crankcase 2, and the portion of the piston 7 located within the crankcase 2 is engaged with a swash plate 3 in such a way as to freely make sliding contact with the swash plate 3. An elastic material 12 is provided on the surface 11 of the piston 7 opposite to the outer peripheral surface 10 of the swash plate 3 in such a way that the material 12 can make sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface 10 of the swash plate 3.</p> |
