PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for card capable of providing appropriate contact force and appropriate wiping force when brought into contact with the card. SOLUTION: An electric connector for card receives a card between a base 4 and a cover. The base 4 is provided with a plurality of contacts 12 having a contact part directed toward a top side. In addition, an elastic pressing piece 18 to energize the card to be received upward to the card is formed on the side position of the contacts 12. Because the card to be received is held between the elastic pressing piece 18 and the cover, the stable contact pressure and wiping force are provided to the card and the contacts.
