PURPOSE: To prevent toner dropped from the end part of a contact part because of the formation of a toner layer from being scattered in an image forming device main body by providing a toner holding means in the lower part of the contact part of a toner layer forming member. CONSTITUTION: At the time of a printing operation, the toner T supplied onto the periphery 12 of a developing roller 11 from a toner housing part 16 by a stirring member 14, etc., is carried up to a press-contact place A with the contact part 22 of the toner layer forming member 21, in accordance with the rotation of the roller 11, to be regulated in the layer thickness in the place A. Even if a part of the toner T peeled from the periphery 12 of the roller 11, is dropped from the end part of the contact part 22 at this time, the toner T is received in the vicinity of the contact part 22 by the toner receiving member 31 of the toner holding means 30 and absorbed by a toner absorbing member 35. Thus, the scattering of the dropped toner T in the image forming device main body can be surely prevented, so that a failure in power feeding to an electrifier 3 and a transfer unit, the occurrence of leakage and the failure in electrification and a transfer, due to the scattering of the toner can be all eliminated. |
