PURPOSE: To obtain a display device that the user cannot observe any spot due to an external light by detecting the television screen spot where the external light is reflected. CONSTITUTION: A signal from a remote control device 11 is received by a remote control device light receiving section 14, a remote control device direction detection section 21 detects a direction of the remote control device 11 and an external light direction detection section 22 detects a direction of an external light from an output signal from the external light receiving section 13. Then an external light spot position discrimination section 23 calculates a difference between the direction of the remote control device 11 and a direction of a television moving section 15, gives a control signal to a turning section section 16 to turn the moving section 15 in a direction of the remote control device 11, then whether or not a spot is produced on a television screen 12 is discriminated. When no spot is produced on the screen, the moving section 15 is turned in the direction of the remote control device 11. When any spot is produced on the television screen 12, the moving section 15 is turned in a direction where no spot is produced on the television screen 12 in the vicinity of the direction of the remote control device 11. |
