PURPOSE: To provide a document editing device capable of efficiently and accurately performing document editing utilizing an existing document. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a document database 104 for dividing the documents into document components for respective logical items and storing them and an intrinsic information storage part 105 for storing the document components whose contents are intrinsic information. When an operator instructs the display of one of the documents of the document storage database 104, the one instructed so as to preferentially use the intrinsic information among the document components of the instructed document is replaced with the document component of the intrinsic information storage part 105, the document is assembled and the assembled document is displayed. |
