<p>PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion or water leak at the time of using a polyvinyl chloride steel pipe joint by putting a metal half mold on the outside of an inner layer joint part made of polyvinyl chloride, and fixing, the half mold with plural bolts. CONSTITUTION: A projecting part 10 long sideways is formed on the upper side of the horizontal branch parts 7, 8 of a half mold 3 made of cast iron, and projecting parts 11, 12 of right-angled triangle shape are formed at an intersecting part to a vertical branch part 9. The projecting parts 10, 11, 12 are provided with a specified number of bolt holes 6. The inner side faces 14 of the respective projecting parts 10, 11, 12 are flat and positioned flush with the contact face 24 of the half mold 3. The half mold 3 is put on the outside of an inner layer joint part 2 made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) through an adhesive, the contact faces 24 of the inner layer joint part 2 and half mold 3 are adjusted, and a bolt 15 is inserted through each bolt hole 6 to fix the half mold 3. No void is therefore generated between the half mold 3 and the inner layer joint part 3 so as to be able to prevent corrosion or water leak at the time of using a PVC steel pipe joint 1.</p> |
