PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration in image quality by applying time division multiplexing to plural audio image signals subject to digital compression, selecting a specific signal and applying expansion and reproduction to the signal. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 504 allows a digital audio image server to output simultaneously three MPEG1 data, superimposes the data onto a video signal via a time division multiplexer 508 and the signal is multiplexed on other channel signal at a frequency multiplexer 503 via a modulator 501 and an RF converter 502. In this case, when a reception section 510 selects a prescribed channel, a signal corresponding to the selected channel is extracted from the digital data subject to time division multiplexing, data required for expanding the audio image signal are given to an audio image compression data reproduction circuit 517, which converts the expanded audio image signal into a video signal and the signal is given to an analog multiplexer 513. Furthermore, when a video channel is selected, the circuit 513 receives the video signal from the circuit 517 and the video signal of the selected source is outputted to a TV monitor 514. |
