PURPOSE:To install a plurality of capacitors having different capacitances and, at the same time, to improve the title adjusting device with the power factor better than the conventional level by providing a controlling means which controls the connection and disconnection of the capacitors on the basis of data read out from a received power/capacitor combination correlation table. CONSTITUTION:A received power measuring instrument 5 measures average received power from a watt-hour meter 41 with pulse transmission in a gauge 4 for power transaction. The value is supplied to a received power/capacitor combination correlation table 61 in an automatic power-factor regulating device 6 and capacitor combination data are read out from the table 61. A capacitor connection/disconnection controller 62 controls the opening and closing of switches 87-92 based on the capacitor combination data and makes regulating operations by connecting required capacitors so as to obtain desired estimated power factor even when load variation takes place. Therefore, the power factor can be improved by controlling the connection and disconnection of phase advancing capacitors having different capacitances. |
