FIELD: medicine; maxillofacial surgery. SUBSTANCE: perforated jaw denture fabricated from a titanium implant is provided with hinges mounted on the end face surfaces of the titanium implant for angular fixation. The hinges are cylinders with ball-shaped ends. There are two holes in the side surface of the cylinders arranged perpendicular with their axes of symmetry. A rivet inserted in one hole rigidly joins together the cylinder and the titanium implant, and there are flats on the cylinder side surface near the holes. The titanium implant has additional holes near the hinges. The diameter of these holes is equal to the diameter of the holes in the cylinder. EFFECT: wider range of functional possibilities. |
