PURPOSE: To obtain the stable superconductive wire material little in weak linkages on the boundaries of crystals in spite of a Y series material, not causing the deposition of a non-superconductor, etc., homogeneous in the material, and consequently high in critical electric current density. CONSTITUTION: This carbon-containing metal oxide wire material is produced by compounding a superconductor comprising a metal oxide containing the carbon as a constituting element and expressed by the formula, (Ln1-a Caa )(Sr2-b Bab )(Cu1-c Cc )Cu2 Od (Ln is one or more kinds of elements or atomic groups selected from an element group comprising Y and lanthanoid elements excluding Ce, Pr and Tb, 0.4<=a<=0.8; 0.8<=b<=1.6, 0.3<=c<=0.7, 6.5<=d<=7.5), with silver or its alloy consisting mainly of the silver which have higher melting points than the conductor material. |
