<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape cassette from being inserted erroneously into a main device by providing a cassette holder with an erroneous insertion preventing means consisting of an intruding member which rotates in a plane in the height direction of the cassette case as the tape cassette moves and intrudes into the recessed groove of the outward appearance part of the cassette tape. CONSTITUTION:Chamfered parts 10-a and 10-b formed on a shield member 10 prevents an error in insertion into the main device in an X direction. The recessed groove 12 which is parallel to a +Y direction and asymmetric about the outward appearance of the tape cassette is an erroneous insertion detection groove which allows the insertion of the tape cassette 2 only in the +Y direction among insertion directions to the main device, and the insertion is completed by fitting a projection part in the recessed groove 12; if the tape cassette is inserted erroneously, the projection part of a cassette holder does not intrudes into the recessed part 12 because the recessed groove is asymmetric and contacts the outward appearance part of the tape cassette, inhibiting the insertion. A recessed groove in a Z direction is a preventing groove for Z-directional erroneous insertion and prevent the erroneous insertion by the relative relation of the projection part fitted in the recessed groove 13 during the insertion.</p> |
