Arrangement for fixing and centring pot support on atmospheric gas burner, esp. on a glass ceramic cooking zone

The gas burners (2) are located in holes in the ceramic plate (1) with suitable seals. The top of each burner has a shaped adapter (13) which carries the central part (13) of a shaped support for the cooking pots. The ends of the shaped supports are curved to rest on the top of the ceramic plate with the weight spread without point contacts. The hob supports can be bent rod, or can be cast, using a heat resistant material. The shaped adapter secures the central part of the hob support to stabilise the support. Typical adapter shapes include a central slot, threaded fittings etc.
