The roller has a pin with an outer ring and inner disc for at least one set of roller elements. A seal (11) is arranged between the ring and the disc or the pin. The seal has a support (12) for a sealing lip (13) which is connected to it, and which is tensioned axially against the disc or the pin. A running surface for the lip may be arranged on the disc or the pin, and may be inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the pin. The support may also be a ring with an angular cross-section, which may be retained in the outer ring by a press fitting.
