摘要 The proposed device for measuring absorption and scattering coefficients of liquids and gases comprises the following optically connected elements: an emitter; a cell containing the substance under investigation and provided with a spherical inner reflecting surface and inlet and outlet windows for the radiation; a radiation sensor and a condenser mounted in a specified way between the emitter and the cell. The inlet and outlet windows are in the form of a single aperture in the cell and the condenser is mounted with its optical axis aligned in a specified way. The emitter, condenser, and radiation sensor are mounted so as to be capable of rotating about two mutually perpendicular axes which intersect with the optical axis of the condenser at a point lying on a section of the major circle of the spherical inner reflecting surface within the confines of the inlet window; the first of these axes passes through the centre of the said surface and the second is perpendicular to the optical axis of the condenser.
