<p>The applicator comprises a rod (8) connected to a holder (6) at one end and having at least one slit (10) at the other end (8a). The slitted end of the rod can have a surface which is inclined relative to the rod's axis (A), or it can be rounded. Alternatively, the tip (8a) of the rod can be of a supple of cellular material, or have intersecting slits. There can also be a shock-absorbing portion between the tip and holder end of the rod.
