<p>Active aluminium oxide in granular form is obtained by: decomposing aluminium oxide trihydrate in a steam-gas environment containing hydrogen at a concentration of 13-15 wt% at a temperature of 350-500 °C and a pressure of 4-16 kPa to form amorphous aluminium oxide; grinding the resulting product and eliminating from it any sodium compounds; and subsequently plasticizing it at a temperature of 125-132 °C and pH « 4. Granules are then formed from the plasticized product, and these are dried and baked to obtain the granular active aluminium oxide.</p> |
