PURPOSE: To obtain a developer scatter preventing mechanism for a developing device capable of dispensing with cleaning at the time of maintaining by keeping a stable developer scattering preventing function and preventing the occurrence of scratches on the surface of a photoreceptor caused by the sticking of foreign matter, etc. CONSTITUTION: The developer scattering preventing mechanism is provided with a sheetlike member 21 arranged so as to come into contact with the photoreceptor on the upstream side of the developer carrier 11 of the developing device 10 supplying a developer to the photoreceptor 1 and a sheet take-up support 20 extending and supporting the sheetlike member 21 by a sheet take-up roller 22 taking up one end side of the sheetlike member 21 and a sheet extending roller 23 extending the other end side of the sheetlike member 21. Moreover, the developer scattering preventing mechanism is constituted of a sheet pressing member 24 pressing the sheetlike member 21 extended/supported by the sheet take-up support 20 from the rear surface side, to abut the sheet surface of the sheetlike member 21 on the surface of the photoreceptor 1 and a sheet take-up roller driving means driving the sheet take-up roller, to take up the sheetlike member 21 from a sheet extending roller side to a sheet take-up roller side. |
