PURPOSE: To detect an image defect (character flow, solid black) due to an original shifting or floating during copying operation at an early stage, to quickly execute the copying interruption, and to prevent toner from being unwittingly wasted and the toner from being scattered or the like that often occurs at the time of copying the solid black. CONSTITUTION: This image forming device is constituted so as to interrupt the copying, by turning a LED erase array 27 on, a halogen lamp 34 off, an electrification device 26 off, a transfer device 29 off and a separating device 30 off, on detecting that the original press cover is temporarily opened during the copying operation after completing detection of the original size, and moreover, when respective output level of the first and the second sensors 138 and 139 is changed (differs) from the decision time of the original size. |
