<p>PURPOSE: To prevent such a situation that there is a shortage of surface pressure occurring as packing is inadequately deformed as well as to make improvements in workability of a pipe joint, in this pipe joint, housing the packing in a packing storage space of a flange body externally fitted in a pipe, clamping the flange body with bolt and nut, and making the packing contact with the pipe and a seal bearing surface of the counterpart flange under pressure. CONSTITUTION: A flange part 37 is integrally installed in an outer ring part 19 of a packing body part 10 consisting of this outer ring part 19 and the inner ring part 18. Packing 14 in this constitution is housed in a packing storage space of a flange body 13, and the flange body 13 and the counterpart flange 12 are clamped tight with a bolt 33b and a nut 34b.</p> |
