Control cable self-adjustment device which comprises a hollow base body of generally long cylindrical shape open at one of its ends, into which is fitted a regulating stem. The closed end of the base body and the front end of the stem are linked to respective intermediate ends of the control cable sheath. The stem is secured by a retaining coil and the base body of a saw-toothed threaded section. Control cable length adjustment is made by traction by separation of the intermediate ends of the sheath, and alternatively by screwing of the base body on the stem by means of the retaining coil. The invention finds an application in the automobile industry. |
